Minggu Seri-Ibu Kraf CIMB – Usahawan & Inspirasi, by CIMB Malaysia
Kuala Lumpur: CIMB Group Holdings Berhad (“CIMB” or “The Group”) has launched the Minggu Seri-Ibu Kraf CIMB, a new platform which is expected to spur excitement in the craft industry, while actively providing small and medium enterprises (“SMEs”) an avenue for development via learning and networking opportunities, benefitting entrepreneurs and business owners in the creative economy and beyond.
The launch was officiated by KDPB Tengku Ampuan Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah Binti Almarhum Sultan Iskandar Al-Haj, accompanied by Datuk Syed Zaid Albar, Chairman of CIMB Group and Datin Azlina Mahmad, Chairperson of CIMB Islamic Bank Berhad.

The Seri-ibu Kraf Awards aims to breathe new life into traditional arts and crafts, celebrating heritage while embracing innovation.
Finalists will be recognised across the following award categories:

There will be a total of six (6) awards, and each award carries a cash prize of RM5,000,
along with a trophy and a certificate
Final Craft Exhibition
- Date: 4 Feb 2026
- Venue
All finalists will get a chance to opt in for retail placement at KLGCC Mall.
If your artwork is chosen, you’ll be required to prepare:
- Your physical artwork for the Final Craft Exhibition at KLGCC Mall
- A story card detailing your inspiration and process:
- Title of work / craft name
- Size
- Category
- Technique / method
- Material / medium
- Region
- A declaration that the artwork is available for sale and its retail price.
- Logistics and administrative costs required to deliver or install the artwork will be covered separately, subject to agreement with the finalists.

Judge List
Datuk Radzwan Radziwil
A fashion designer and artist with extensive experience in contemporary design, known for his contributions to Malaysia’s creative and fashion landscape.
Raja Malek @ Raja Khaled
A set designer and artist with broad experience across theatre, exhibitions, and creative productions, recognised for his work in visual design and spatial storytelling.
Puan Hayati Isa
Director of the Handicraft Design Section at Kraftangan Malaysia, with long-standing involvement in national craft design development and capacity-building initiatives.
Prof. Datuk Dr. Lim Swee Tin
Associate Professor at Universiti Putra Malaysia and National Advisor on Heritage and Culture, with significant contributions to cultural heritage, literature, and advisory roles at the national level.
Encik Khairul Hafizi
Senior Director, Design and Research Division, Kraftangan Malaysia, overseeing research, design development, and innovation within the national crafts sector.
Khairulanwar Rahmat
A cultural researcher and artist whose work focuses on heritage studies, identity, and material culture through research and creative practice.
Toni Darusman
Group Chief Brand & Marketing Officer with leadership experience in brand management, strategic marketing, and organisational communications.
